HOW TO WIN

1. Enter at Mayfair Shopping Centre, Hillside Centre, or one-line at www.careawards.com. See dates above.
2. On Friday, September 16, the People’s Choice Award recipient will draw for the Grand Prize winner.
   The CHBA – Victoria office will contact the winner by phone during the week of September 19.

RULES

1. The contest is open to all residents of Canada, except employees, members and immediate family of:
   CHBA and CARE Awards Sponsor companies.
2. Persons may enter this contest only once, and must submit a valid ballot for the People’s Choice Award at one of the official display locations or on-line at www.careawards.com.
3. Ballot must include entrants name, phone number and nomination project name to be eligible.
4. The contest will begin Friday, August 5, 2011 and conclude on Sunday, September 11, 2011.
   CHBA - Victoria reserves the right to change these dates and locations without prior notice.
5. There will be one grand prize awarded during the contest. Grand Prize Draw will occur on Friday,
   September 16, 2011 at the CARE Awards Ceremony.
6. A member of the CHBA - Victoria Staff, will contact the winner by phone and/or in person.
7. If, for any reason, CHBA - Victoria cannot contact the winner within 5 days of the draw, CHBA - Victoria may, at its sole discretion, disqualify the winner and draw a new winner from the registered contestants.
8. If the winner is under the age of 19, the prize will be awarded to a parent or guardian over the age of 19. The minor will have no legal claim to the prize.
9. Odds of winning the grand prize package are dependent upon the number of entries received.
10. One grand prize package of a $500 gift certificate to Long Beach Lodge Resort, Tofino.
11. The approx. retail value of the package is $500.
12. Winner is responsible for all expenses incurred, beyond the prize as specified in Rule #10, including any taxes associated with the prize as specified in Rule #10. These expenses will include, but are not limited to: travel to and from the winner’s home to Long Beach Lodge; miscellaneous expenses, gratuities and service charges; additional meals. Prize must be accepted as awarded.
13. Winner must abide by all rules, policies and procedures of the suppliers of each aspect of the prize.
14. The grand prize package is available for the specified dates only. Should the winner be unavailable on these dates, they must forfeit the prize.
15. The winner must correctly answer a skill-testing question before receiving the grand prize.
16. All prizes must be accepted as awarded, are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and have no cash value.
17. CHBA – Victoria and CARE Award Sponsors will not be responsible or liable in any way in regards to the prize, or any aspect of the prize, not being available, due to circumstance beyond our control.
18. CHBA – Victoria and CARE Award Sponsors will not be responsible or liable in any way for injury, of any degree, including death, to the winner and/or traveling companion, in regards to the prize. Winners will be required to sign a waiver.
19. The decision of CHBA - Victoria in regards to the rules, and interpretations of these rules, is final.
